Overlanding

Overlanding has become increasingly popular in recent years, the desire for more authentic and immersive travel experiences, allowing you to disconnect from the stresses of modern day life and connect more deeply with the world around you.

What you need to know about accommodation?

There is a wide range of accommodation in Kenya, including luxury hotels, budget hotels, campsite's, tented camps and lodges. The facilities provided in accommodation will vary, but most modern camps and lodges offer various amenities such as swimming pools, free Wi-Fi and restaurants.

Kenya has some amazing hidden campsites in most of the parks and surrounding areas, they are not well publicised so this is where we are here to help. In most Parks they have a few different few options of camping (listed below). Please note that wild camping (camping in unestablished campsites) is not allowed in our Vehicles.

Public Campsites

Special Campsites

  • You pay at the gate when entering no need to book, most have reasonable toilet/shower block and a secure kitchen area if wildlife is around.

  • Booking required, little to no facilities but fully private and in most cases spectacular surroundings.

Bandas / Tented Rooms

  • These are rooms with beds, bed sheets, showers and toilets but most are self catering. Some are more basic than others but great way to break up the full camping experience.
